So here’s the thing. I was walking home from the gym today wearing my green uship promotional tshirt from eBay live 2007 and realized that I don’t have any clean shirts to wear to the gym tomorrow, except for a pink tshirt from my old kickball team. Not only did I kind of groan when I realized I have to do laundry tonight, but I also realized how boring my gym wardrobe actually is.
Not only do I work in Marketing so I know how important it is to get your company, brand and url out there as much as possible and for as little cost as possible, but I also know how many tshirts and possible gym shirts are thrown out after each show. So while I was walking I realized, why not create a place where people can get the excess tradeshow shirts for free or close to free and for Marketing Departments and Marketers to be able to get rid of their excess shirts without throwing them out so they can help stop overflowing the landfills and be more eco friendly.
Not only will all of these companies be able to put their logos, brands and websites in front of thousands of people while FreeGymShirts.com members wear their shirts at the gyms and running, but they’ll be able to make use of their Marketing Materials that they spent a ton of money having printed on tshirts. Not only does it provide a more eco friendly way to get rid of the excess tradeshow and dated tshirts, but it also helps us to get more tshirts to workout in while not having to break the bank. While I’m in startup mode with this I want to see if I can get the advertisers to pay for the individual shipping. If not then splitting the costs will actually still make it so you can get a workout tshirt at a fraction of the price in a retail store but they can make use of a net loss when they would have had to throw out their extra Marketing Materials but also get their name and website out even more easily and to a larger audience.
Anyways, leave a comment below or click on the get tshirts here or advertisers links to find out how to donate shirts or find out how to get free or low cost workout tshirts and not only help to save the earth but also expand your workout wardrobe for a fraction of the cost of retail prices for workout shirts and outfits.
